Where sticky notes become a monument and bookmark ribbons become a living waterfall, where the ‚good‘ dissolves into the ‚even better‘ and small German flags form a front that segregates a nerve-racking hymn cacophony, you stand ‚UNTER BLAUEM HIMMEL‘, in the midst of the conceptual world of the Leipzig conceptual artist Frenzy Höhne, who knows how to develop significant images of our contemporary society from everyday objects in a humorous, sensitive and very apt way.

The works of Frenzy Höhne are exciting, multi-layered and remarkably direct, which we will present to you in an extensive solo exhibition from 23.09. to 13.10.2018. in the Torstraße 111  ̶  Forum für zeitgenössische Kunst e. V. (Forum for Contemporary Art).

Nach einer zweiwöchigen Arbeitsperiode im Kunst- und Projekthaus Torstraße 111 zeigt Künstler_in pluck (Niederlande) vor Ort entstandene Werke. Parallel werden pluck und die Künstlerin Valérie Favre am Samstag und Sonntag mehrstündige Liveperformances durchführen.

After a two-week working period in the Kunst- und Projekthaus Torstraße 111, the artist pluck (Netherlands) will be showing works created on site. During his stay, pluck collected hair from hairdressers in Berlin. From the natural material, which forms the artistic basis of this work through the transformation process from fire to ash, drawings and objects were created which will be shown in the exhibition rooms of Torstraße 111 from 14 to 16 September 2018.

At the same time, pluck and the artist Valérie Favre will perform live performances lasting several hours on Saturday and Sunday.

In der Ausstellung präsentieren Studierende der UdK, Klasse Prof. Valérie Favre vielfältige Positionen und verständigen sich auf eine künstlerische Auseinandersetzung mit dem Ort, hinterfragen ästhetische Differenzen sowie Gemeinsamkeiten eigener Wahrnehmungsgewohnheiten und ihrer Beziehungen zueinander. Dabei werden neue Denkansätze entwickelt, inspirierende Perspektiven aufgezeigt und Synergien gebündelt.

Zur Ausstellung erscheint ein Katalog.

An exhibition with students of Prof. Valérie Favres class (UdK).

A catalog will be edited for the exhibition.

After the first Berlin exhibition in 2011 at Haus am Lützowplatz, the new students present a new sensual-performative-event together. On the 300 m² exhibition area the students agree on an artistic discussion with the place and question of aesthetic differences as well as similarities of their own perception habits. The presented work revolves around ambivalences of urban romance and urban arches.

From February to the end of April I am pleased to work on the wonderful Künstlerhaus Schloss Wiepersdorf with artist-in-residence scholarship from the Ministry of Science, Research and Culture of Brandenburg.
